It’s somewhat hard to get out and enjoy a Saturday when you’re tethered to a crib and a sleeping Coley Bear. Because of this, we started up dates with Kate: one parent takes Kate out, while the other stays at home with Junior. It’s a nice compromise and seems to keep us all happy.
Miss Kate and her daddy got to see Beauty and the Beast this past Saturday. And when Dave suggested her favorite for lunch, The Olive Garden, she declined. She had to go to the place where they have fortune cookies.

Kate was especially pleased with the roses they left on our seats (reminding us to renew our annual passes to the theatre); I’m pretty sure she thought those flowers were put there just for her.
Dave bought Kate a rose-shaped souvenir purse. When Kate got home, she informed, “This purse is just so special, Mom. Now whenever I see it, it will remind me of my date with dad.”
Yep, I’d say this date thing is going pretty well.
Once again, awwww! Matt needs to start taking Cora on dates. Can't start too young, right?
