Last weekend, I spent my first-ever night away from Dave and Kate. Dave made it pretty hard for me to want to leave. For one thing: who would want to spend a night away from the amazing DAVE? Not me. But secondly, he laid on the guilt pretty thick (letting me know that he was going to hang this over my head for a REALLY LONG time). Kate was also still sick, so that made things even more difficult for me to want to go. Alas, I had signed up to be a driver, and I couldn't very well back out of my duties.
My nerves went away as soon as I met up with everyone. I mean...who's cooler than Kristi, Ricks, Kasey, and Adrienne? So we kicked off the evening at the Red Rock Brewing Company. Ricks and I both ordered this little bit of heaven:
I wanted to roll over and die as soon as I took a bite. Seriously, I would have died as one, happy woman at that moment. I stole this pic from a website so no justice is served. BUT BELIEVE YOU ME! Gruyere cheese melted all over the top of a sandwich; there's something wickedly wonderful about it.
After the eats, we bought our breakfast for the next morning at Smith's and came back to the condo.
Once there, we pretty much talked ALL NIGHT LONG. We crawled into bed somewhere around the 4-5th hour of the morning. Ricks and I shared a room. It brought back so many memories from childhood sleepovers.
The next morning, we took a shopping trip at the outlets. Anyway, such a fun time. Can't wait till next year. Ricks and Kristi, you better start planning now.
That sounds really fun. I do love Red Rock Brewing Company as well. Matt and I have been a couple times in the past few months and really liked it both times.
