Holding On

Cirque du Soleil...we finally discovered what all the hype was about. Dave and I went with his parents last night to see the show, and might I say, it was pretty entertaining. The opening act was super lame and I wondered what we had just blown our money on.

Then it totally changed. The performers were like superhumans with their ridiculus muscles and tricks. There was a mime, which I loved. And then just tons of acrobatics and other freakshows (is that okay to say?). But really, I couldn't help but wonder where they found these people!! Anyway, I totally recommend the show. It makes for a pretty fun date night.

In other news, I'm trying to NOT think about going back to school. Kate and I are trying to hold onto what's left of the summer. Most mornings we wake up and I ask, "What do you want to do today?" She thinks about it and then says, "Disneyland." That doesn't usually work out.

She's also very much into playing doctor right now. She has a little doctor tool set and is always wanting me to perform a check up on her. Right after we finish, she unfailingly wants to do it again.
Like all other princesses, Kate's also into dress-ups right now. Dave sometimes pins her hair up and tells her she's Tinkerbell. She LOVES it! The other morning, when she saw me all dressed up for church she said, "OOOooo, you a princess, Mommy!" It was quite the compliment coming from a 2 year-old.

  4. You do look like a princess...blonde, tall, thin, long hair. I'm with Kate on this one! On another note, I'm in Nebraska. Sabrina threw up in the car yesterday. I stained my shirt with Easy Cheese, and Paul and I have decided that Dave is a Maven (I'll explain later). Keep holding on to summer.
