Halloween 2010 happened something like this:
For me, my insides were still a tad unhappy from being on my outsides (love me a little c-section). Thus, I had the poo-poo prize of being the treat passer-outer.
Cole slept his way through ALL. Of. Halloween (we obviously need to work on his Halloween enthusiasm levels if he’s going to be a member of this family).
And Dave and Kate braved the ferocious monsoon with one goal—to fill the pumpkin bucket. Goal achieved, by the way.
This is us in our costumes. As you can see, Dave and I called our costumes good with wigs and not much else. Kate was Super Girl, and Cole was a bat...a terrifying one.
And how Dave and I are able to make such cute kidlings, I’ll never know.
3 creepy babies—I think Dave was proud of himself for thinking up this clever shot.
By the end of the night, we lured in 138 trick-or-treaters. It was 40 less than last year, but I think given the icky weather, we did okay. We passed out prizes from Oriental Trading, which seemed to be a hit.
After all the festivities, Kate washed all the “pink” out of her hair and was able to wear matching jammies with her new little brother. Pretty darn cute.
So cute Ash! Sorry you're not feeling so great! But I'm glad you guys had a happy halloween! I missed seeing your awesome costume this year at school!
ReplyDeleteOh those jammies are too darn cute. I'm missing having a newborn around here, and there won't ever be another one. :0( C-sections are not fun, but may I be the first to say you look AMAZING for just having a baby. I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteMy kids saw those creepy baby things at Spirit and we all asked each other, "Who would buy these?" Well, now I know:) CUTE kids by the way-the real ones, I mean.
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed you got so into Halloween just after having a baby. Did I mention I was non-functioning for the first 6 weeks after Sam was born? Well, it's true. Cute baby, by the way.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I am glad you are feeling well enough to pass out candy to that many kids! Wow! The kids looked darling and you look great. Congrats again on mr. Cole. Can't wait to meet the little guy! Emmy can't wait to meet her new little bff! love ya
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with the jammies and SUPER girl costume. Kate was so cute the other day telling Subby that she too was a big sister now. It was a classic car convo. We loved having her. And creepy baby picture, btw.
ReplyDeleteCutest costumes, jammies and kids EVER!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm playing the blog catch-up game tonight. I love Kate's costume! I do think princesses are cute, but this pink superhero costume seemed so unique and cool - especially with the hair!
ReplyDeleteAnd you totally beat us with the trick or treaters. I think we got like 20. Maybe. And I might even be exaggerating.
