In all fairness, the "doctor" was really nice. He gave us ample viewing time, and made comments like "I love this baby's profile," (shown below) and "this is good baby." So, really…nice guy.
Kate, too, "got to see Baby on T.V.!" for the first time. I think it was fun for her. We saw Baby stretch out its legs completely straight, which is something neither of us had ever seen. Baby also appears to be a right-hand thumb sucker (unlike Big Sister, Kate, who prefers her left). You can see in the pic below the right hand going in for the suck:And the reason for going...
drumroll
please...
We are so happy; would have been excited no matter what Baby's gender was. Even though we have all the baby girl stuff in the world (sigh...for thousands in lost $$$), it's best we're having a boy. This may be the last (so for sure, we'll get one of each now). Plus, after several weeks of looking over baby names of the pink kind, Dave and I were stumped. We do, however, have a few boy names so it all works out. Plus, we're so happy for Kate to have a baby brother! I hope they will be best buds.
After the backroom appointment, we had dinner and let Kate ride the merry-go-round. A perfect evening, thanks to Dave's brilliant mind and fun idea #1,908,674.
I AM SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! A little boy!! What a blast! It's so fun planning for a little boy and having one of each will be a blast too...congrats again!
ReplyDeleteIt all makes sense now! When I saw you at school today I was thinking "Man she is tiny for being 20 weeks!" I was feeling rather jealous of you! :) (Not that that fact has really changed!) Congrats on the boy! I am so happy for you! I'm just sad that we are going to lose you next year! But being able to stay at home will be so awesome (hence another reason I'm jealous...)
ReplyDeleteYOu have no idea how stoked I am to get to buy little boy things!!! How exciting. That is so much fun. Congrats guys...when are we going to get together again?? We got our "birthday" Marketstreet dinner but I think we need to venture to uncharted waters....let me know what you think. Congrats again! XOXO
ReplyDeleteCongats guys! A mini Dave! I think Emmy and mini Dave will be good friends. I am so excited for you guys and especially for little Kate!
ReplyDeleteYay! Congratulations! So fun to have a boy and a girl!
ReplyDeleteI love his little hand in that one picture. Tiny and cute! His profile is really cute too. Glad your dark room experience ended in happiness.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Adorable baby boy shoes at Costco right now. (I believe the brand is Jack and Lilly?) Almost makes me want to produce a boy sometime soon...key word: ALMOST.
Congratulations! I could have sworn you would have a girl. Well, shows what I know. I can't wait to see the little guy!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the exciting news!!!
