Many of the kids prepared "a few words" (and even a song and dance) for a good-bye ceremony before we released them. It was pretty hilarious (and even a little sad) to hear some of the things the kids said. I think they kind of liked having them as pets.
Jippy, Rhino, Flutters, and Squirt (I didn't come up with these names)...good luck out there!
Aish, you're a great teacher. I'm sure the kids loved watching the metamorphosis of the butterflies. I don't remember any of my teachers doing such things!

ReplyDeleteThe circle of life. And it moves us all. This reminds me of the Office where they have the funeral for the bird and Pam sings "On the Wings of Love." I really wish I could have been there. Great lesson, Aish! You put on one heck of a dog and pony show!
