Also on her way to Cavity-Freeism...

is our little Kate.
She experienced her first trip to the dentist today! She was extremely uneasy about the whole thing and has said for several days prior to the event that she 'couldn't want to get her teeth cleaned.' Thanks to some sly convincing from both Dave and the assistant, Christi, we got Kate to cooperate!

Not only cooperate, but she also sat in the chair all by herself and didn't act at all bothered the whole time! It probably helped that she got to watch Charlotte's Web while being worked on, OR that her dad was the dentist, but either way, we were certainly proud.
She got some cleaning, flossing, and polishing done, and Dave also did some nice filing work to Kate's two front teeth (the edges were a little jagged to begin with). They look beautiful now!

How nice that Dave's a dentist. I've only been to the dentist once since Joel and I have been married, and that was just to fix a hole a noticed in my tooth. I really need to get the kids to a dentist, too bad we don't live closer...
ReplyDeleteBahahaha. My word verification for that last comment was "whooter."
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should get Bri to change majors! It's probably not too late! That would be sweet to have a hubby (not to mention daddy) for a dentist. We haven't crossed that path with Jax yet. I'm a little nervous to. He won't even let me brush his teeth without a fit!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that as a dentist's wife you haven't been for a check-up in TWO years. I'm a staunch every 6 monther, myself, so that seems so crazy.
ReplyDeleteI love how Kate's legs are spread eagle in the last picture. :)
I can't believe she's old enough to go to the dentist - where does time go?! But it's gotta be nice that her daddy's the dentist :). Yeah, we've noticed the "mass exodus" and the Williamson's keep asking us when we're going to make the move to, ahem, "zion"...When Evan gets a job there!
ReplyDeleteI love how "relaxed" she looks in the last picture...and I agree, Dave let you go two YEARS without a cleaning?!! Man...can't wait to get back there guys. Seriously, the day is almost here!
