"Come and Knock On My Door"

We just returned from Bear Lake, making this summer one to never forget. Thursday night, we stayed at the Hampton Inn in Logan with my parents and Ryan and Adrienne. We ate at Cafe Sabor (a delicious Mexican joint located in the old train station). Friday morning, we ate a "most pleasant" continental breakfast, went shopping, bought Bear Lake groceries, and ate at the Bluebird. Sheesh that place is old and creepy. The worker even told us there have been ghost sightings in the basement. Anyway, it was a really fun place to eat. The kids got lollipops, which they all (in turn) lost after dropping them on the ground.

shag carpet, beautifully weaved wall hangings, circa 1960's couches, creepy chandeliers, some lovely floral print wall-paper and decor in the bathrooms, and my personal favorite, this lovely print as a focal point, I mean...you seriously could not find this stuff anymore even if you tried. It was awesome. I quickly realized that our surroundings actually made for a good time; mostly because there was no damage we could do to make the place look worse, and also because we shared the condo with Ryan and Adrienne, which made for a lot of fun.

  2. What a fun trip! That's great that you were able to see Quentin Cook. That's who set apart my parents. He's such a nice guy!

We need to go do something before we have to go back to school!

  7. That must be the same decor and condo we stayed in on my first and only trip to the Bear Lake nearly 20 years ago. SAH-WEET. Glad you guys had an awesome time. I wasn't aware that apostles visited Bear Lake wards often. How's that for timing on our part?!

  8. I meant "your" part as the Sampsons weren't on your trip. (Although that would have been a party!)

  9. Now the Sampsons, Blackhurts AND the Williamsons- the ultimate :) I actually know the dude that owns Cafe Sabor. He was a PR/marketing guy. It has done pretty well and been there the longest I think. That trip looks fun. Wish we could have gone.
