I don't think I'm a largely competitive person, except when it comes to Halloween. We've been the crowning champs at our ward's Halloween party for several years now and I wasn't about to give it up this year!
This year's theme, The Little Mermaid:
Aren't we cute?!
I figure we only have a few years here where we can force our kids to join in, so why not? And don't get me wrong, we still have to compromise. The kids still get to do their own costume thing for school parades and trick or treating; they just have to follow orders when it comes to the ward party.

Dave popped popcorn on Halloween night for the second year in a row. We've steadily increased the amount of trick-or-treaters we get each year. Last year we got 200 something people (I'd have to look at last year's blog post for the exact amount). This year, we lost track early on at 200. We figure 300+ trick or treaters so it was a very busy night!
